The Future of Science With AI | Nobel Prize Dialogue London 2026

AI has already contributed to applications across all STEM fields. In this Nobel Prize Dialogue we looked at the ways that AI might transform science in the future. Demis Hassabis, Alison Noble and Paul Nurse joined us to discuss how the scientific community can get the best out of AI. The event began with a performance by Braimah Kanneh-Mason and Plínio Ferndandes. A conversation with Alison Noble, Chair of the Royal Society Science in the Age of AI Working Group, followed, discussing the findings of the Royal Society’s 2024 report on the impact of AI on science. She was then joined on stage by Demis Hassabis (2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry) and Paul Nurse (2001 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine) for a discussion of what we can expect from AI.
